Hi im new to all this thinking about getting a cold water tank. I'm not keen on goldfish so i was wondering can Koi be kept in a tank and live happy without growing to big. Thanks Dan

A couple of issues with this, although fundamentally there is no problem koi are 'designed' to be viewed from atop, so don't generally look to pretty from the side, and also they do not have the gene that confines their size to the available space - they just keep growing!

So you are probably better finding out about comets, minnows etc and other coldwater fish rather than koi.
