Hello Everybody [ ]
Just out of curiosity, what sort of Computer/PC do you use at home?
For me, Its a Mac PowerPC G4 (Mirror Drive Door) model.
On the left is a pic. of my set-up. images/39.jpgThe Tower normally sits on its own mini table, I only moved it up, for the purpose of the photo. The 17" screen is a BenQ FP71G+S, senseye.
It also has a: DVD/CD Recorder
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -RAM, -RW, +R, +RW, +R DL
Hard Drives:-
Primary:
Capacity: 74.4 GB
Secondary:
Capacity: 232.76 GB
and a connected Canon iP4200 BubbleJet Printer, which prints color DVD labels on printable discs, similar to that of the originals.
And below is a brief description of the "Engine Room" as so to speak....

Like Kieran I also built all of mine myself
I have 2 of my own, and the girls both have one each, all wireless networked
My 2 are the same spec although cases are different, both Thermaltake, 1 is a Shark, other is a Xaser III both black:
P4 2.8 Hyperthread
1GB DDR Ram
1 x 300Gb and 1 x 120Gb hard drives
CDRW + DVDRW
GeForce 5900
Wireless keyboard and Mouse connected to both towers by KVM
Neovo 17" TFT
I did receive a lovely present of the Big Water Cooling kit, have yet to pluck up courage to install it in the main machine
The girls machines are similar, only 2.6 chips and minus DVDRW

I have a Dell Precision M70 laptop which I am using now
standard top spec 1 gig DDR2 memory 256 graphics 80 gig hd ,dvd/cd writer, blue tooth wireless and a trackball mouse as I hate the finger pad on laptops.
The other one that is banging on my knees is a Packard Bell
run of the mill cd and dvd writer only 512 ddr memory on board graphics and a 15" tft. |

Intel Pentium 4 2.53GHz, 1.5Gb RAM
2 x 40Gb 7200rpm drives configured as RAID
18" Atec Flatscreen
Ultraquiet case, power supplies, and cpu fan (<20dBa)
DVD-R/W and a DVD player
loads of USB ports front and back.
DVI video card
oh, and a floppy drive!
Had it about 3 years now, it was cutting edge then!
But, I do have 2 servers, an IP phone, wireless network, and a couple of laptops as well. _________________ Neil Roberts - forum admin. |
